This Eight story structure contains 176 affordable housing units in a variety of configurations from studio to three bedroom units. The building is designed in accordance with the New York City Zoning Ordinance for Quality Housing. To reduce the corridor lengths and the number of units on any given corridor the building is divided into two separate core systems. The building plan is a "U" shape surrounding landscaped courtyard with active and passive recreation space. The structure has been set back from the street as far as possible to provide privacy for the ground level apartments. A double height Lobby overlooks a similar double height common room for resident use which is located in the lower level adjacent to the courtyard. This building has been constructed in accordance with Enterprise Green Communities guidelines and includes a 80,000 KW solar panel array. Recipient of The National Grid Energy Efficiency Award by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and The National Association of Local Housing Finance Agencies, Home Excellence Award for outstanding Green Features.
