The adaptive re-use of a 58,500 SF existing building previously used as a U.S. Army Reserve Training Center. Located at 555 Nereid Avenue in The Bronx it is a parcel which was originally zoned for manufacturing. By application to the NYC Board of Standards and Appeals permission was granted for use as a Supportive Housing facility. The building, whcih was totally re-clad, contains 90 dwelling units, a series of common area spaces for the use of the tenants, offices for supportive staff and a lecture hall for both internal ans community use. The site wascdesigned to provide both active ans passive recreation for the residents.
